African American protest and other songs. Accompanied by extensive notes and field descriptions, tape indexes, copies of Gellert's 1936 publication, Negro Songs of Protest, various writings (drafts of short stories and articles), and 300 pages of song lyric transcriptions (at Lilly Library).
