Summary

Presents results of studies of 22 mining districts in central part of western slope of Colorado. These studies were undertaken to characterize mined materials, mine drainage, and influence of historic mining on nearby streams, and include sampling and chemical analysis of mine dumps, mill tailings, mine drainage, and surface waters.
